Why QR codes continue working after URL changes

QR links identify the card independently of its slug.

A stable identifier

The built-in QR route uses the card public identifier rather than relying only on its readable URL slug. Changing the slug therefore does not require replacing that stable QR link.

Availability still matters

The destination must remain available. Archiving or unpublishing a card can stop access. A QR code you created elsewhere from an arbitrary URL is governed by that URL and service, not this guarantee.
